Day 12. A Big Trip.
Earlier this year I won a gift. It was a really good gift. If you are flexible. If you plan ahead. But I am not, always, and I didn't.
So today I had to sigh deeply and "downgrade" my 2 round trip tickets to Europe into 2 round trip tickets to Acapulco (we could still have gone to Europe, but only if we never wanted to come home... which maybe isn't such a bad idea after all). Then I bought 2 more tickets and reserved a room in a newly refurbished, expensive hotel for a week for my family. While I get to go too, I am counting this as a gift to all of us. I could get used to this kind of giving.

Hi! What a wonderful gift, you all deserve it! Still love reading your blog. Did you get my xmas card? Sounds like 2010 is off to a great start!

Jillian, I DID get your card although I was confused by the whole lab coat thing (do accountants wear lab coats where you live?) and so I admit it took me a while to figure out it was you (you also had no name on the card, and it was postmarked from Tucson, to mess with me even more...) Thank you, though

Hahaha...the postmark from Tucson confused many people. I am a procrastinator, something I have come to accept so when I landed in Tucson, I stopped by the postoffice.
And the labcoat thing, well I am going back to school and making a career change. Suppose when you are 18, you don't always make the best decisions for a lifetime.
