Whoa There Dancer!

I have, in an unprecented and irrational fashion, been calm this year about the holidays.

Week 1 of December - Work Road Trip (or, as Phil called it, my vacation with Jerry).
Week 2 of December - Preparation for Company Holiday party.
Week 3 of December - Sinus infection, Shopping for office adopt a family, Christmas cards.

and then, well, HELLO!  Here we are at Week 4. No cookies baked.  No lefse made. Just half the cards out, in spite of 2 trips to the post office.  The house is a little messy.  There are no gifts under my tree.  But we (the office) have spent $1,800 on a family in Tucson who needs help.  And I found Tom (I lost him for a couple weeks - see here).

So on the agenda tomorrow - deliver my entire truck full of toys, and presents, and food and stuff.  Make cookies.  Go to Winterhaven.  Kick it in to high gear.  Ho Ho Holidays.

I have been feeling the same way this December! We took a vacation the first week of December so I got a late start on everything. But, this week I made a serious dent in the gift shopping (pretty close to done now) and I am pretty excited about everything. Now I just need to do some baking (and laundry). Kick on the holiday tunes and pre-heat the oven! It's on!!!

PS if I lived closer I'd have to come over and partake in your lefse. My mom and grandma haven't made it the last couple years and I MIsS it! I guess my sister and I are going to have to learn how to make it so we can take up the baton and run with it.

Maybe you and your sister should get together with me and my sister, and we will impart our "lefse wisdom". The more the merrier!
