All I Really Want is Girls

Last year our friend Amy introduced the girls to a great music icon.  The Beastie Boys "Girls".  When she remembers to, Grace will walk around singing "All I really want is girls. In the morning it's girls.  etc."  It's really lovely (and terribly appropriate for a 7 year old).

But today, spontaneously, I heard the song in my head.  Because on my porch was a whole group of girls.

Andra has adopted hula hooping as her sport du jour and she is very good at it.  She went 15 minutes the other day, and then she taught Grace.  I am on the eve of 40 and she even managed to teach me.  So she is recruiting her friends and neighbors and here was my view out the back windows (click here for the soundtrack, compliments of the Beastie Boys, and Amy, of course):

Maybe I am aging myself, but do you remember the hula hoops that Grandma and Ted had, and the jarts?? I think I had 30 hula hoops from them (maybe from their park and Rec past?). Our Grandparents would be proud!!
