Spring Break Day 1

Here is what we did:

Depart the domicile.
Return a movie.
Hike A Mountain.
Take the tour at the
Asarco Mineral Discovery Center (Mine Tour).
Shop at the gift shop.
Eat lunch at McDonalds.
Go to the bank.
Go to the downtown historical society museum.
Stop by the
Santa Theresa Tile Works showroom.
Go to movie.
Go to Bookman's used book store.
Return to domicile.

We left at 9.  We got home at 6.

We spent $108 on the museum, the gift shop, lunch, the museum, tile samples for the pool, and the movie.  Books were all free for trade ins.

Andra bought a display box of Arizona minerals, and went on about how cool the museums were.  Grace picked a book about planets and the solar system and quizzed me on how far from the earth the sun is.  The girls made tile mosaics spontaneously and were wildly creative.  Grace picked 6 books, Andra picked 3 and I picked 1. The movie we saw, Meet The Robinsons, was about a kid going into the future.  When I spend days like today with the girls, sometimes, I think I can see the future, too.  I get little glimpses of the women they will be, one day - through what they say, and what they do, the choices they make and the things that catch them up and lock in their attention.  I am glad for days like today, and, like Mr. Robinson, I can hardly wait to see if it turns out like I the vision I had.
