Good Seat Mate
I sat in 10C. My coworker sat in 9C. His seat mate? A dishy salt and pepper business man who was quiet, and slept. They didn't say a word to each other the whole flight. The dream seat mate.
Who was in 10A? Moe. Short for Muhammed. Moe lives in Tucson, his kids go to the U of A and his whole family is coming from Iran to stay for a couple months. He has several job offers, several of which he showed me the letters for. We took off at 9 am. By 10:00 he had asked me to dinner. By 10:15 he asked if he could buy me a drink on the drink cart (did I mention it was 10:15 AM?). And finally he just brok down and asked if I was married. Followed with a big arm swing and snap saying "Darn". Very subtle. I know what he does, I know when his father died and what he missed most about his father. Still, I managed to get 80 pages of my book read - Snow Flower and the Secret Fan.
Thank goodness it is warm here, it is a balmy 1 outside right now. I think I will go get some coffee.

Getting hit on is a consequence of being so darn cute! I never seem to have that trouble when I fly....

Great story!!! Glad to know that I am not the only one who gets stuck next to the strangest people on planes.

It's really nice to know that you have a backup who is apparantly so ready and willing.
Only joking, Phil. You don't need a backup.
