Bold and Beautiful
When I was a girl (as in under the age of 18), I was very shy. I was embarrassed by everything, and was seriously timid. I know it is hard to believe, but I could find people who would testify to it, if necessary. As a result, I am constantly amazed by how bold my girls are.
Tonight was the school art show, and both girls volunteered to be curators. Andra was covering Andy Warhol and pop art and Grace was covering Mayan temples. Did you know that Mayan temples were a form of calendar, and had a stair for every day of the year? Well if you had been there, you would have heard about it. And Andra's Warhol was fabulous, it is a framer. They both got dressed up and wore little construction paper badges and stood up and curated, or whatever it would be called. I was quite impressed.
Last week, they both tried out for the talent show and both got in - they are dancing (separately), and they are both doing it with attitude. Now, I admit I did do 2 dances in talent shows, so maybe this isn't so off the mark. I did both dances with my friend Sarah, one to "You make me feel like dancing (gonna dance the night away)" and one to "Freak Out" (Ah, Freak Out! Le Freak, C'est Chic, Freak Out!). Sorry. Can't say either without just going on.
Either way, I am pleasantly surprised by their bravery and boldness when it comes to being around other people and being in front of other people. I really hope they keep it.

You shy??? I would like to meet this people who are willing to testify to that. If you were shy, you definitely aren't now and so your girls are going to be just like you. A fearless leader, that others look up to. Sorry that I missed you when I was in AZ, did a lot more running around for the wedding than I thought I would have to. Catch you next time though.
